Used Epic for years on my Mac with few issues. Sometime earlier this year (2017) I started getting the message:

Unable to connect to the proxy server
ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED

If I turn off the proxy, all web connections immediately work. But I no longer have the benefit of the Epic proxy.

I have tried using the Reset Epic button and quitting and restarting multiple times with no difference to this behaviour. This seems to be an issue with a growing number of users.

Epic search likes to give me results from mostly Russian sites, which are useless to me. How can I exclude such results or reset the search engine to work properly?

Last admin mention I found in archives is from 2013, indicating Epic is working on a 1Password extension—the absence of which is why I cannot use Epic. Any update? Thanks.
