Just had Win10 update Version 1607 on 21st Aug 2016
Resulted in MS Edge being set to default browser and Epic not working. So clearly MS not happy about Epic! Not the 1st time and won't be the last when MS decides to change defaults.
Had to remove Epic, kept data and installed new version. All bookmarks returned Ok.
Not sure about all other settings yet & will need to go through all the MS spying settings to check if any amended. Access to advertising options seems changed since I set it up and locked them out.
It's all good fun!

Had update v.1607 late last month
No browsers then worked EXCEPT Microsoft Edge
This includes Chrome as well as Epic
Tried reinstalling. Reinstalls OK but will not connect. Also error message saying 'Epic video downloader has crashed'
Is there an updated version of Epic which will work with this latest update?
Being cynical (and realistic?), is this Microsoft 'forcing' you to use their Epic browser which I don't trust?
