Google Search Thinks Epic Is A Robot

Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network. This page checks to see if it's really you sending the requests, and not a robot. Why did this happen?

IP address: 108.120.214.134

All of my other browsers work.

Re: Google Search Thinks Epic Is A Robot

Did they ask you to answer a captcha?  A bit irritating we know.

That happens because Epic automatically routes your request via https/encrypted connection AND over the proxy.  This protects your search from being tracked (assuming you're not logged into Google).

Google gets a lot of bot requests, so particularly because you're routed over a proxy they want to confirm you're not a bot.

Unfortunately we don't know a way around this that still preserves your privacy.

Yes, ddg works and no captchas from what we've experienced.

You can also use the built-in epicsearch.in.

Re: Google Search Thinks Epic Is A Robot

Hi Stephanie, usually the captcha comes when you have Epic's encrypted proxy on.  You could certainly try logging into Gmail, then Google should recognize you as a real person.  You can also try accessing Google with the proxy off.

Sorry about that -- we really feel they purposefully make the Captcha slow and endless...
