I figured it out after staying at a Holiday Inn Express just now:
I uninstalled and re-installed Epic and installed the extension just fine.

then the annoying first run page was back, so I opened C: users>my name>AppData>local>Epic Privacy Browser
Then in the search box I typed firstrun.html and deleted it.

Gone! (fixes a victory drink)

I'm having the issue too, so uninstalled Adblock and tried to reinstall, but it only downloads the .crx file.

Did anyone find an answer to this? I've installed Epic on a new PC as I have for years but clicking to install an extension only downloads the .crx file

Possibly related to this new install,  I imported my bookmarks but the favicons are not showing up either.  I really do not wan to uninstall, re-install and re-set up all of my settings...

Thanks for a great browser, I've used it on all my PCs for a few years.

I have a new laptop I just set up with Epic, but it is not blocking ads like it does on my other devices.

I know how to use the umbrella, etc and never had to enable/install anything to block ads, what do I need to do in order to enable/install Adblock?
