You should download the correct Epic version for Apple Silicon instead of the Intel build. Then open the .dmg or .pkg file and drag the app into your Applications folder rather than opening it as text. If macOS blocks the installation, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway to allow it. If needed, install Rosetta 2 to run the Intel version. If you’re still having issues, contact Epic support directly and give them your macOS version and the error message so they can guide you further.
