Dear creators of Epic,

I have been a happy user of your browser, but one thing has been bothering me. There are many browsers out there focusing on improving users' privacy.  One of the issues I encountered while using Epic is that it takes a rather harsh stance on telling its users which information they should keep private and how they should do it. For instance, it is not possible to change default search provider and Epic must clear browser data every time it closes down. I think it's commendable to educate users about how they should keep their information private. But to force your idea of privacy onto your users is a mistake. Users are looking for browsers that offer more options that help safeguard their privacy. They are not looking for browsers that restrict their options so that it meets some strict normative privacy standard. Accordingly, I strongly recommend giving users the flexibility they are used to in combination with default settings that nudge them toward the most privacy friendly options.

Good luck!

Victor
