I usually think July is the sweet spot for Halloween shopping. May can feel a little too early, but it does give you plenty of time to find something unique before popular styles start selling out. Waiting until September, on the other hand, can make the search more stressful, especially when you already have a specific look in mind.

For me, the timing depends on what kind of outfit you're planning. If you're just putting together a simple costume, September is probably fine. But when you're looking for a jacket that you actually want to wear beyond one night, starting earlier makes more sense. I like the idea of browsing Leather Jackets for Halloween during the summer because you can compare different styles, colors, and fits without feeling rushed.

Another reason I would start around July is that you still have time to think about the rest of the outfit. You might find a jacket first and then build your costume around it with boots, jeans, accessories, or makeup.
