After using Microsoft computers for years, I recently purchased a Macbook3 and tried to install your Epic browser with absolutely no success!  After hours on Apple help they informed me to contact you for installation help.  On my old computers it was very simple and easy this is not.  I tried both of the suggested links but get pages of code when I open the documents and no installation.  Does anyone else have this problem with trying to install Epic on the M3?

Hey there. I switched from Windows to a MacBook with an M3 too, and I ran into some of the same confusion at first. The good news is that Epic does work on macOS, but the install process is a little different than on Windows.

Here’s what you want to do step-by-step:

Download the correct macOS installer: Make sure you’re downloading the file that ends in .dmg, not something that prints a bunch of code in the browser. A .dmg is a Mac disk image file that you can open like an app.

Open the .dmg file: Once it finishes downloading, double click it. You should see a window that shows the Epic Browser icon and a shortcut to your Applications folder.

Drag & drop: Drag the Epic icon into the Applications folder. That installs the browser on your Mac.

Run from Applications: Go into your Applications folder and double-click Epic to launch it. macOS may ask if you’re sure you want to open it since it’s downloaded from the internet  just click Open.

If you’re seeing pages of code when you open “suggested links,” that usually means:
• You’re opening the installer text file in a browser or text editor instead of the actual .dmg file.
• Or the download didn’t finish properly and your Mac is showing you HTML or script code instead of the installer.

Quick tip: Right-click the file and choose Get Info check that it says “Kind: Disk Image.” If it doesn’t, try downloading again and make sure your browser completes the .dmg download.

If you still hit errors, let us know what exact file name you see and what code is showing up we’ll troubleshoot it. A screenshot helps too.

Welcome to Mac life once you get the install right, Epic runs really smoothly on M3 machines. ?
