Hey everyone, could you recommend which browsers are actually worth considering right now in terms of privacy?
I’ve been looking into different options, but I’m still a bit confused. On one hand, there’s Chrome (https://www.google.com/chrome/) — it’s fast and familiar, but from what I understand, privacy isn’t exactly its strong side. Firefox (https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/) is often recommended as a more transparent and customizable option, especially if you’re willing to tweak settings. Brave (https://brave.com/) also looks interesting since it has built-in protection — ad and tracker blocking works out of the box.
I’ve also come across LibreWolf (https://librewolf.net/), which seems to be a more privacy-focused version of Firefox with telemetry removed, and Sigma Browser (https://www.sigmabrowser.com/), which claims to have privacy features built directly into the browser rather than relying on a separate private mode.
But it’s hard to tell where the real differences are and where it’s just marketing.
I’m looking for something balanced, ideally no need for tons of extensions, minimal data collection, and still smooth for everyday use.
Would love to hear what you’re using and why
