Hi everyone,
I’m currently preparing for the mccqe1 and wanted to hear from others who have already taken the exam or are studying for it right now.
There seems to be a huge amount of material to cover, and I’m trying to figure out the most effective way to balance content review, question banks, and practice exams. Some people recommend focusing heavily on clinical decision-making questions, while others suggest spending more time strengthening core medical concepts first.
For those who have successfully prepared for the mccqe1, what study strategies made the biggest difference for you? Did you follow a strict study schedule, rely mainly on question banks, or use a combination of resources?
I’m also curious about common mistakes candidates make during preparation and what you wish you had done differently before exam day.
Any practical advice, study tips, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.
