#1 Epic Privacy Browser - Help & Troubleshooting » Epic Browser not installing on Win7 » 2025-08-03 16:13:10

I uninstalled epic browser because there was some bug where 41 cookies didn't get removed even when I pressed the "clean cookies" button (over 15 times). I also wanted to start fresh because AI is blocking me on certain website and it recognized my browser. So I wanted to start as new identity. But now I can't re-install it again sad

Problem: epic browser not installing the main program to my PC.

Steps made: I tried to install with all 3 methods on my Win7 OS
Installer (.exe)
Installer (.zip)
Direct (offline, won't update)

Outcome: After "installing" it read 'Installation complete'
But it only downloaded folder to AppData\Local\Epic Privacy Browser
And in task manager I can find EpicUpdate.exe running but no main software or epic icon anywhere where I can open the program.
So there is no epic browser in C:\Program Files

I deleted all of the epic folders in AppData as advised in your forum before trying again to install epic. I also tried with 3 different VPN in case ISP is blocking download. Haven't tried proxy because not sure if it does anything since I used VPN without any good luck. I use ethernet cable with fast internet.
I read troubleshooting in forums with zero luck on my side.

Epic is crucial for my online activity, i pay for epic search monthly.
I would like this problem solved somehow. Maybe it is time so switch to Whonix OS if problem is win7 related?
Last time I downloaded epic was in march 2025, there wasn't any problems back then.

#2 Epic Privacy Browser - Help & Troubleshooting » Youtube block epic VPN (+odysee) » 2024-11-12 10:59:15

Hi,
this problem occurred 3 weeks ago and since then I was hoping someone fix the problem, for now I have used 9xbuddy 3th party host system to watch youtube videos. Now that 9x has same kinda issue where it says "videos are age restricted" when on youtube they are not, I seek solution.
So now is the time to seek help and address the issue.
I use win7 (intentionally). Youtube works on Firefox with and without windscribe VPN, with tor browser same issue as Epic.

So the issue come in form of notification "Sign in to confirm you’re not a bot" which never has come before, it's obvious classic google lies and scam so they can track you if you create account. I don't have youtube account so I can't watch their platform with epicsearch.in which I subscribe monthly. Problem is obviously on every video, not only one.
I tried to find other ways out like extension that bypass this nonsense but without any luck.

Odysee site doesn't even load at all it just show white blank screen and in the left down corner "waiting for epicsearch.in..." for months now. For now Odysee is not so important because I use bitchute and vigilante.tv for alternative streaming platforms. For now I hope to solve youtube problem since there is important videos to watch. In ideal world all good people would leave youtube to alternative platforms but for now it is too easy to be in the herd.

I have come to conclusion that youtube specifically targets epic VPN and blocks its address, maybe your technical team can override this somehow and put some extra measures to bypass this in future more effectively.

Here is screenshot how the youtube looks https://postimg.cc/WtmRdgRN

Edit 2024-11-18 : It has been confirmed that this is IP block on VPN. Apparent TOR does work with some tor circuit just need to restart if some are blocked. But epic still has this issue on all their country VPN.
For some reason this post has not been approved by forum moderators after 6 days even when issue is critical, I did send Alok email so will see the outcome of all this hassle.
