#1 General » How is the Powder Coating Cost Determined? » 2024-02-15 05:38:43

Every powder coating job is different, and thus every applicator will create a cost estimate individually. That being said, however, common items like vehicle rims or bicycle frames can largely be estimated because they're easy to replicate. However, other items that are not so commonly powder-coated may need extra preparation or additional layers of coating, which will affect the final pricing.

Generally,  powder coating costs are determined based on the cost per square foot of the item. For larger jobs like metallic sheets, the square foot of the surface area is measured, meanwhile, for household items like railings and fences, the price is determined per linear foot.

Powder Coating Cost of Common Items

Below is the average price for some of the most commonly powder-coated objects:

·        Automotive Items

Bicycle Handlebars: $20

Bicycle Rims: $20-$25 each

Car Bumpers: $200 & up

Vehicle Carburetors: $100-$200

Standard Wheels: $50-$60 each

Motorcycle ATV Frame: $200-$250

Motorcycle Exhaust: $75 & up

·        Outdoor Furniture

Side Chair: $50-$75

Bar Stool: $80-$100

Patio Table: $100-$130

·        Other Items

Railings: $10 per foot

Metal Sheet: $6 per square foot
