Hei there, has anyone found an answer to the flashing screen upon startup. Clear white flashes, about 5-10 when i start the program. Have uninstalled, installed new version twice, etc. Still the same problem. Last install i thought it was gone, because it was ok for a start or two, but then started with 2 flashes and now its back up to its usually of 5-10... it's killing my eyes. I like Epic, but it's a real pain.

In the old version this wasn't a problem, i've been with Epic since the beginning. i stopped using epic for a while because the proxy wasnt so great and i was getting blocked at too many sites back in the day even when the proxy was off, but the program has been improved and i really like it, except for the flashing screen.

Any solutions?
Im on Windows 10, Alienware r14x i7
Nvidia video card gforce GT 650M

Thanks

Hey, I totally get how frustrating that flashing screen issue can be—especially when you’re really enjoying the program otherwise.

A few things you could try to help fix the issue:

Disable Hardware Acceleration: Sometimes flashing screens are caused by hardware acceleration issues. In Epic, go to Settings and try turning off hardware acceleration.

Update Your Graphics Drivers: Make sure your Nvidia GeForce GT 650M drivers are up to date. You can do this through the GeForce Experience app or directly from Nvidia’s website.

Adjust Display Settings: Try lowering the screen refresh rate in your Windows settings. Go to Display settings > Advanced display settings and experiment with different refresh rates to see if that helps.

Hopefully one of these solutions works for you! If it’s still persistent, reaching out to Epic’s support team might give you a more tailored fix.
