I'm simply trying to verify my VPN / Proxy extension (Mac) is workin. I see a lot of references to the "VPN Icon" but I honestly don't know what it looks like or where it is located? What am I looking for and where?

Also there is an option to "open proxy setting" which takes me the Mac OS sys prefs to "select a protocol" Should I check some boxes there?

By the way, if you are into managing tasks efficiently, especially for teams using Jira, you might want to check out the jira okr. It’s a great tool to align team objectives and key results seamlessly within your workflow, making it easier to stay on track with your goals while focusing on your core tasks, like ensuring your VPN setup is right.

To check if your VPN/Proxy extension is working on your Mac, look for the VPN icon, which is usually located in the menu bar at the top-right of your screen. It often looks like a small, keyhole-shaped icon or a shield, depending on the VPN provider you're using. If you don't see the icon, your VPN might not be connected or properly installed.

Regarding the "Open Proxy Settings" option, when it takes you to System Preferences, you’ll see different protocols like SOCKS, HTTP, or HTTPS. Usually, you don't need to manually adjust these settings if you're using a VPN app or extension. The app should handle the configuration for you. However, if you're setting up a manual proxy, you’d need to check the appropriate boxes based on the instructions provided by your VPN provider. If you’re unsure, it’s best to leave these settings unchanged.
