Sorry, not "private" information, but "confidential" information. I am not tech savvy, obviously. I've now learned that the confidential information was simply access to my keychain for passwords.
I discovered the problem. I had denied the new version of Epic access to my "private information" ( what ever that is). This time I allowed it and then it was able to open to the link.
I finally downloaded Epic's update ( 91.0.4472.114) hoping that Epic had solved its problems when it first offered its update, and I moved it into my Application folder. But when I type in a URL on the new Epic version, this is the window that appears: "This site can’t be reachedThe webpage at https://www.nytimes.com/live/2021/09/08 … e-boosters might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
ERR_PROXY_CERTIFICATE_INVALID"
Yet, when I use the older version, it works fine.
I am having this very same issue. After three attempts of downloading a fresh dmg file and still getting the "epic_71.0.3578.989.dmg" is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash." message, I finally gave and deleted Epic from my computer and then went to epicbrowser.com and downloaded epic from your webpage. But when ever I open Epic, a new page opens telling me to download the latest version 71.0.3578.98. Why isn't this new version already included in your epicbrowser.com page? I am not as computer savy to understand what you mean by
"Extract the content" and replace the epic.app at the Applications folder. How does one "extract" the content?
