First let me say to the Epic development team THANK YOU! This is a great browser and its features are something we all need. Very grateful for Epic.
I've enjoyed this browser as my main browser on my PC and my Android phone for over a year now and have had zero problems until the other night when accessing Etsy from my Android phone.
If Epic browser is set to "DESKTOP SITE" and then I go to Etsy.com and after the website loads I disable "desktop site" I receive an error message from Etsy that says:
"You Have Been Blocked. Why? Something about the behaviour of the browser has caught our attention.
There are various possible explanations for this:
- You are browsing and clicking at a speed much faster than expected of a human being.
- Something is preventing Javascript from working on your computer
- There is a robot on the same network (IP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) as you)"
FYI - The reason I am in desktop mode within Epic is when I go to visit Facebook. I do not use Facebook Messenger app and sometimes I need to respond to a message quickly while on the road and not having access to a PC. If I go to Facebook on Epic in regular mode I can't access my messages. However if I enable "Desktop Site" then I can interact with Facebook no problem. I often forget I have Epic set to desktop site so when I go to Etsy and the page layout is too small I remember to disable "desktop site" so I can get the mobile version of the page, that's when the "YOU HAVE BEEN BLOCKED" message comes up. If I go to the Epic settings and select "CLEAR DATA" it will reload Etsy proplery about 75% of the time. So this my workaround for now but thought I might bring it to your attention because it could be indicative of future problems with some websites or maybe provide a clue for similar issues others might be having.
Thank you!
- Jeff
