It's so painful. I don't understand why the devs aren't able just to add a toggle for this, given how requested it is. I get that it's a small dev team. But like literally one toggle in the settings page, and an if/else in the code right before showing the dialog.
It's not just because it's faintly annoying. It literally STOPS the OS from shutting down!
I've lost count of the number of times I've told the computer to shut down and then come back the next morning to find it's all stayed on overnight because Epic prevented shutdown due to "Multiple tabs are open". Do I want to close? Yeah I wanna freakin' close, I'm shutting the computer down!
Please, please, Epic devs, not another "thanks, we'll consider it in a few years but won't actually do anything". We just want a toggle. A toggle. One toggle. And a single if/else. That's all we're asking for. Default to showing the message for most users because history blah blah, sure. But please, please give us the chance to turn this infuriating, OS-breaking behavior off if we want to. Thanks.
100% agree. This is the biggest let-down. The browser has so much potential and it's been my default for a while but I'm ready to give up on it too for this exact reason.
