Same problem here...
Quasar.Backdoor was quarantained by MWB. But after that a clean re-install of Epic turned out impossible.
I posted the problem here, but got no reply so far.
This is the only advise I can give you: I myself ended up ditching Epic altogether (which is a big bummer since I loved working with it). I'm looking into Brave now. You may want to consider that browser as well.

MalwareBytes has found malware in Epic called 'Backdoor.Quasar'...

It has quarantained it. But in doing so it has rendered Epic useless. I cannot use or even find it anymore.

I tried uninstall and a fresh reinstall. Doesnt't work. MalwareBytes intervenes again when I try to install Epic.

1. what to do?...(to get Epic up and running again)

2.  is there any way I can retrieve my bookmarks in Epic???
