This is a False Positive.  Malwarebytes supposedly did fix this.  If you still get that message about Epic, please update your Malwarebytes and it should disappear.  Then you should be able to install Epic again. 

Sadly, false positives from anti-virus software is EXTREMELY common.

Only download Epic from EpicBrowser.com or the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and you're fine :-).

Regarding your bookmarks, if you're on Windows, check the folder %localappdata% then go into default and see if there's a bookmarks file there.  If so, back it up.  The best way to back up your bookmarks is via the Bookmarks Manager, at the far right there's a button to export them to a file.  If you did uninstall Epic, then your bookmarks file may have been deleted :-(.
