websites taking 2-3 min to load

The past several days it's taking epic browser so long to load pages that I thought it was broken entirely. It's taking about 2 to 3 full minutes to load a website when I initially put in the URL. After it eventually loads, it is fine to navigate that site. Any thoughts on what might be happening? I have windows 10 and they did do a massive update to my computer last week. Not sure if this is related. Thanks.
