Browser closes whenever clicking on a known link

Hi,  I am a newbie to Epic, one snag I cannot seem to resolve is that when I click on a link in my email, (a link I am happy with) the browser closes down and I get the message "Epic has unexpectedly closed " etc.  Can anyone guide me as to the likely problem? I use a Mac with 10.13.3 software. Thanks in advance for any tips. Orinoco
