Install problem

I recently read in Computer active magazine about how good Epic was. i downloaded it and opened the installer........ I was informed that Epic had installed but sadly I cant find it anywhere on my computer.
I am running Windows 8 on a 64 bit laptop.
Can someone help please as I would love to use this browser?

I too read about this browser in Computer Active and wanted to try it but I have the same problem as kmob (only I'm running XP) -- there is no error message or anything, but there isn't a browser either!

I download the installer, run it, it says Epic Browser is now installed, but I can't find it anywhere on my computer.

When I run a search for it, it brings up folder in Application Data (both All Users and my own personal one) but they don't contain anything apart from a log file.

Where should the browser be and how can I access it?

Hi, if you downloaded this today, just few hours back, we had  windows installer problem which we fixed it now. Can you download it and install once again from epicbrowser.com

I am having the same problem in my PC with Winxp sp3, 32 bit, Intel P4 2.66GHz processor, 2 GB ram, ASUS P5GC-MX/1333 motherboard. When I try to install the downloaded program, the system says "Installation Completed" after some time, but I don't find it to be installed. No error message. Same experience yesterday, as also today.

I have the same trouble today: "Installation Complete," but no browser, only EpicBrowserUpdate was installed.
This happened with both the Windows.exe and Windows.zip versions of the installer.

Is there a location from which I could download a "full" version?

Sorry for inconvenience,
please navigate to %localappdata% and delete Epic Privacy Browser folder and try to install Epic again. Please let me know if this worked or not !!

Thank you for the response, sathi.

I did the following:
   - Stopped the EpicUpdate.exe process.
   - Deleted the Epic Privacy Browser folder from %LOCALAPPDATA%
   - Deleted the Epic Privacy Browser folder from %APPDATA%
   - Downloaded EpicSetup.exe from https://epicbrowser.com/
   - Installed
   - Result: No browser
      - Applications installed:
             EpicCrashHandler.exe
             EpicUpdate.exe
             EpicUpdateBroker.exe
             EpicUpdateOnDemand.exe

Maybe there is there an off-line version of the installer I could use?

Thanks for the response. Great information. 

I think Epic might be installed in your machine and  not able to start. Navigate to %localappdata%/Epic Privacy Browser/ Application and try to run epic.exe.

Please let me know if this worked for you or not.

Hi ebeb,

Bit weird, will look into this issue. 
I am strongly recommend you to not use offline installer, you may miss the major updates.
mini_installer.exe is the offline installer, you can find in download and install folder.

I understand. I thought that a work-around for my live-install problem might be to download any programme version, then run an update...

Hi ebeb,

Sorry for late response, We are able to install Epic with out any issues in  xp, 7 , vista and 8. 
We have released a new update couple of days back, it should fix this issue.
You can try the latest install and let us know. Please make sure you uninstall Epic before install the new one.

Hi,
I had the same problem during few weeks.

One day, Epic stopped working (I don't know why... couldn't use it) so I had to install it and since this day I had the same problem than you.

I have deleted Epic many times... and installed it again and again.

Now, I have 2 other problems :
1) every day I have a message from  "Epicinstall.exe" asking if it can be completely installed.
2) I have adds on Youtube et yahoo mail

It used to work so perfectly... Why all those problemes now ?

Thanks for sharing screenshots.
Trying to generate "EpicUpdate.exe" popup message  and get back to you.
Seems Adblock is not working for you, other features like proxy and umbrella button working for you ??
Usually restarting Epic will solve you the problem of ads or proxy.

I tried restarting Epic 4 or 5 times since 24/10. I delete the program and everything of Epic then re-instaledl it... I lost all my favorites because I didn't think about save them   but it still doesn't work

What do you mean by "Umbrella button works" ? For example, I can't go on "see trackers - view" and on "adblock options - view"
I just can change the No/yes of plugins/data/block ads.

Proxy is ok I can go to the red or green.
