Spelling checker in Gmail

Hi,
I have recently installed your browser and am delighted with it.
I do have a small issue with using Gmail and wonder if anybody else has come across this problem.
When a word is underlined in red due to spelling mistake normally I would right click it and am presented with the correct spelling. However I now find that this no longer works. I am now presented with a drop down menu which offer Undo Ctr-Z, which is of no use. How can I get the spelling checker to work.
This problem was also evident while writing this message, so it is not just Gmail that the problem is with.
The Gmail spelling checker works fine in other browsers.
