Proxy help

I live in Mexico and have had serious issues because of my mexican i.p. So I finally got Epic to download with no corruption last night and tried the Proxy button. I tested it with Hulu and to my surprise, Hulu came back with the usual "GeoBlocked" Content can only be streamed in the US. When I read on the Proxy it said that when turned on it was routed through a US Server? Am I doing something wrong and can someone point me in the right direction. I am due to head to work in Iraq this week and would love to be able to use Hulu there, this was a dream come true just to solve my boredom state while at work!!! LOL!!
