I am using Epic on windows7. When I save my passwords they are retained for 2 days at most, and then I have to re-enter my userids ,passwords and click save password. Is there a setting that needs to change?

Hi,
Epic is recently got updated, may be thats why you lost your old files(password). Is the problem is still showing up ?

I will check again throughout the weekend. I did have to re-enter userids and passwords yesterday,June 5.

Yes. Since the weekend I have lost my logins 3 times. I am running Version 34.0.1841.20 (251262). I am also running with the proxy disabled.

Hi jgolano,
looks like something went wrong, can you share screenshot of Epic user data ??
Navigate to %localappdata%\Epic Privacy Browser\User Data\Default and share the screen shot.
Thanks,
Sathi

I have submitted 2 links to photobucket with the screen shots. Hopefully I did this correctly.

Hey
Thanks for the images. You are right about the issue. Actually Epic got updated from version 31 to 34 and the login tables in the old version and new version are different. I can suggest one fix for it. Try deleting the user data from
"AppData\Local\Epic Privacy Browser" folder.
Then you will start getting the new login data files. But this will remove all your saved browser data.
Thanks

Hi jgolano,
I would like to check one thing regarding this password loss.
Have you deleted your app data before?
after deleting, your passwords are saved. Then after some time passwords are loosing again ?
or
you never deleted your app data.

I use a product called ccleaner once a week that deletes temporary internet files in the Appdata folder.

re last post. I have lost my passwords today without having run ccleaner since Saturday.

hi jgolano,
We are sorry for inconvenience,
We tried all possible ways to re produce this bug. This is a rare bug in chromium. Just delete Epic browsers's App Data.

AppData\Local\Epic Privacy Browser\User Data

I'm using version 37.0.2062.94 (290621), which appears to have been automatically installed this afternoon.
I wouldn't have had reason to care or check the version, but for the fact that every last one of my saved passwords was removed during the process.
If this was intentional, I'd be very interested to know why. And if it was intentional without letting me know, I'd be very interested to know why I should continue using your browser.
I realize that if I, in reaction to ineptitude or insensitivity on the part of your development team, decide to use another browser, it's no skin off your nose.
But, before I ditch the product, I thought it would be best to ask why you've allowed this to happen.

Hi fl,
We are sorry for inconvenience!!
So, you are uninstalling Epic every time with saved passwords and Epic installs automatically.
If this is the case, your uninstall is unsuccessful. While uninstalling, first Kill EpicUpdate.exe from task manager then uninstall from control panel.
Can you confirm this!!
Offline
No, I'm not doing any sort of uninstall at all - and whatever manipulation of my saved data that's occurring, it's your automated update agent that did it.
I only became aware that an update had been installed when I realized all my information was gone and started trying to figure out why.

Don't rush on any response, as I won't see it. One of the good things about all my passwords and IDs being lost by your update is that the effort to reconstitute them is the same either in Epic or in a browser that hasn't (yet) mistreated me.
I've decided to spend the time wisely, in a better browser. Best of luck to Epic, since it seems that Epic might need it.
