Bookmarks Problem

Why is it, that when I import my bookmarks onto the bookmark bar, initially I have my normal miniature coloured site bookmark icons, but when I close the browser and reopen it, the coloured bookmarked site icons have gone leaving just a blank white box.

Hi soldierboy,

There are some privacy issues with this imported bookmarks , so we removed icons data.  We will come with some alternatives a.s.a.p

september of 2013 and no fix is in? this is a total dealbreaker for me. best to go back to firefox and use duckduckgo
