Whenever i try to download any file of significant size, I always get the "Failed - Network Error" message within the first two minutes of starting the download. I can download small files, but any file that takes longer than a minute to download will probably fail. Is this a bug or just normal?

I think its not a bug, there might be a problem with your network while downloading. Did you try after some time. Still its happening for you ?

It still is not working. The network on am on blocks the download site (it's primarily turbobit, but I haven't tried very many other other sites that are blocked.) Using Epic, I was still able to access any site that was blocked, but the downloads always fail. I do not currently have any other computer to check if this is the problem or not on.

I completely uninstalled Epic, re-downloaded it, and installed it again, and it is still failing the downloads because of a "network error". The only difference I have noticed is that sometimes now they fail instantly instead of after a few minutes.

I have a Mac running OS X 10.7.5. My Epic version is Version 38.0.2125.111 (278856). This is a school laptop, so the browser does not work to unblock sites at school, which is normal. However, at home, I used it to get access to these blocked sites. There have not been any problems with that. The downloads are the only issue. If you cannot find the problem, then it may simply be someone cutting the connection off my my end.

I see this post is a year old, I am having the same problem with Epic now. Was this bug never fixed? Any large file I try to download in Epic fails with the "network error" message and yet I have no problem downloading the file in either Firefox or Chrome. I have the same problem with Epic on all of my devices, Windows and Mac, 32-bit or 64-bit, so it MUST be a bug in the program, not a device issue. I am running Epic version 48.0.2553.0 in Windows (64-bit), version 40.0.2214.91 Windows (32-bit) on 4 different devices.

As of April 26 2016, same problem as everyone else in this thread. Problems of instable downloading regardless of site. All other alternatives work fine (Tor, Opera, Firefox, Google Chrome Vivaldi) and even having them all run all in parallel. Alone or in conjunction with other browsers opened, Epic cannot download after 2 minutes with network error notice appearing while all the others keep on going. Problem seems to be coming from Epic server in New Jersey. On YouTube, when watching a video, it oftens stops and repeats the last 5 seconds anew to stop again after 30-45 seconds and repeat 5 seconds prior to the last stop. Definitely a weird network thing going on Epic server. Haven't tried to disable proxy globally as this point which would pretty much defeat the whole process and fun thing of using the Epic browser.
Also, found a 38 or 39 old version on the net which didn't seem to have download problems (so maybe it ain't the New Jersey server). But with the 48 or 49 versions, couldn't have enough time to even download the last upgrade to Epic's latest version as of April 29 2016 before network failure appeared. Had to use another browser for the downloading. This new version is still bugged with the same network failure for any download anywhere (web sites) at anytime (morning, afternoon, night). Running OSX 10.11.4.

Same issue here, it is really annoying. I need to be able download image files for my raspberry pi and various os tools and recovery programs. I am running on windows 10, i have an excellent network connection
