Epic not updating

On Mac OSX 10.6, Epic version 38.0.2125.111 (278856) doesn't update, and doesn't check as previous versions did. If I ask it to check for updates, it says 2460 is up to date.

After downloading from https://www.epicbrowser.com I get a page saying enter an email address to get updates.

How does this work? Should the browser update itself, or do I get updates through email, or what? What does my email address have to do with updates?

On Windows 7, Epic browser doesn't update, and doesn't check as previous versions did.

@john1492, updates have nothing to do with email. The email is only if you are interested in epic's latest articles on privacy or any relevant or important information related to Epic Browser or privacy related news.

Thank you. I guess 38.0.2125.111 is the latest for Mac? Perhaps I got confused seeing references to updates for Windows.
