silly java extension question, not important

in firefox, java deployment toolkit is dis/en-abled separately from java tm platform se, and java deploymt. tlkt. is automatically disabled "known to be vulnerable use with caution". So, i had a look at Epic's extensions and the 2 are lumped in together, which is obviously a Chome thing. I dunno what it's vulnerable to (diabetes?) or how essential it is, in firefox i always leave java enabled and everything else disabled due to getting the impression java was essential to most webpages whereas i don't care about pix/video/gifs.

is java deploy vulnerable to something bad? and is it possible to dis/en-able it separately to the other java? or is the other java not very useful and disabling both is fine as a solution?

Sorry to bother you, thank you very much, yours sincerely, maia
