Re: add startpage & duckduckgo

We haven't added them yet as we are unable to trust either of them.  They either refuse or don't respond to our requests of how their privacy works.  So we *strongly* suggest you don't trust them either.  EpicSearch.in at present is to our knowledge the only truly private search engine in the world.

Re: add startpage & duckduckgo

Yahoo is transparent about how they work and handle data.  So is Yandex.  Neither also makes any strong claim about being private unlike DuckDuckGo.

DuckDuckGo used to get their search ads & results from Yahoo/Bing, they have moved over to just Bing.  DuckDuckGo is misleading from the start, they say "we don't track you"...but then neglect to say they share their data with people who do track you.

Legally and ethically we can't work with DuckDuckGo as they refuse to tell us (a potential partner) as to what personal data they send and to who.

Unfortunately, outside of EpicSearch.in and the upcoming OneSearch from Yahoo, there isn't a lot of privacy & transparency in so-called private search.
