Great thought (!) and this is how the TOR network works essentially. It's like a VPN or encrypted proxy but with multiple nodes for much better privacy/anonymity.
The problem with TOR is that it's not secure because of the design of their network.
We have thought about doing our own version of TOR which would be secure, but it would take a lot of work and we don't yet have the resources to support that...but we are keeping it in mind.
