Epic does include Google's Widevine plugin which is required for Netflix and other sites that use DRM.  It's independent of Epic, can't track your browsing, etc. -- it does make a call on open of Epic to see if there's any updates, and of course Netflix uses it, so it does know what you're up to when you use Netflix as does Netflix, etc.  It's not anything malicious. 

A lot of antivirus software flags Epic and we've been white-listed from almost all packages, but now and then some antivirus may present a false positive.

One thing to remember is to ONLY install epic via EpicBrowser.com never any other website please.
