@ Kolabys,
This is a simple issue to resolve. What I've done is bookmark my home page and put it into the Bookmarks Bar. Then move it all the way to the left (which is my preference) but you can place it anywhere. I even leave off the bookmark name by using the edit function (right click the bookmark then left click edit then make whatever changes you want) I simply leave the small icon. Then whenever it's needed I can click on the icon and load up my homepage. The only difference is that the "homepage" button is in the Bookmarks Bar and not up above where it used to be. Hope this helps.
I suspect the problem is Windows 10 and all its "telemetry" stuff. (In other words, MS is trying to monitor your activity thru Win 10.) I wouldn't be surprised that due to Epic's privacy settings it conflicts with MS's desire to track your on-line activity. Hence the crashes.
I use Win 7 on 3 different machines (with all the Windows "update" telemetry removed) and have never experienced a crash when using Epic which I use as my primary browser on all 3 computers.
I've been using the Startpage search engine for a number of months now under Epic. You can load the Startpage search engine on to Epic by going to the Startpage.com website and loading Startpage for chrome. Click on the "settings" icon (the triple platter) in the upper right corner of Startpage & half-way down you'll see "load startpage." Choose chrome. Follow the instructions from there. I have also made Startpage my homepage. Good Luck.
I use several portable applications. It would be great if there was a portable version of Epic Privacy Browser. Are there any plans for a portable version?
