Seeing same here on almost all of YT
Error here too trying to install any extension from Chrome webstore
"This item is not compatible with your current Chrome version"
or
"Download error: Invalid id"
Looks good. I had to do a manual reinstall. The auto updater didn't work
I have been looking at the contents of the downloaded .zip and .exe file for a newer epicupdate.exe. It's still dated
2020-10-16 12:32:41 ..... 509096 509440 EpicUpdate.exe
I assumed from this that there was no update.

Do we have a timeframe for an update?
Has Epic browser stopped development?
Cons:
Version is out of date
No ability to reopen an inadvertently closed tab
Proxies are unreliable
Search engine is not user configurable
Same here. Mostly Cloudflare spinning, white screens or ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED
Rarely used to happen. Now happening more often than not. And across all proxies.
I have started using Brave exclusively because of this.
With numerous tabs open the tab size gets small and the close-tab X is right in the middle. Inadvertent click and all your work in that tab is gone.
A 10-15 second tab re-open doesn't negate the browser's security goals.

Will this affect Epic browser? If so, how?
The ads didn't play in previous version. Maybe YT found a way around the block.
Is this just a display issue?
Installed .exe and .dll files show version 84.0.4147.105
Help/About Version 80.2.3988.123 (Official Build) (32-bit)
In chrome I manually created a search engine that goes to https://%s, so it doesn't send searches to the internet.
Too often I type a URL or ip address in the address bar and Epic sends it to a search page. I want 404 if there is a problem. My $0.02 is this design is a security problem. The browser is deciding to send data to a search engine without my consent.
If I want to search I open a search page.
Yes, chrome spell checker goes through Google.
Other options? Proxy the spell checking or epic spell extension
Last resort is let the user decide. Warn them everytime they start the browser, but let the user decide.
When I use whatsmyip.net the IPa returned are ...
singapore=139.59.238.143
india=139.59.22.249
germany=138.68.64.81
All are digital ocean in the US
I posted this because autoupdate does not work for me.
Is there a log for autoupdate or a way to manually kickoff the update?
I've been using epic browser for a couple of years and epicupdate has never worked for me.
How do I manually initiate the update process?
Can you provide IPs or server names that epicupdate uses for updates?
