The VPN / encrypted proxy service is no longer supported. With our most recent release the past few days, we have stopped supporting the VPN / encrypted proxy service unfortunately as it had gotten too time consuming & expensive. It lets us focus on the core browser updates.
There are several fast, free Chrome VPN extensions you can use in desktop Epic though -- we list a few upon click on the proxy icon in desktop Epic. For mobile Epic, there are many free VPN apps in the iOS and Android app stores.
To get pages to load again, please to go the Extension page and disable the Epic proxy extension. Please try another fast, free VPN extension or App, you'll be able to migrate to using it pretty seamlessly we have found :-).
