Epic freezing in Windows XP SP3

I'm using Epic Version 34.0.1841.9 (251262) with Windows XP SP3 and no antivirus.

My browser is freezing for 5 or more seconds every minute.
I didn't see this problem in older versions.

Any tips for this issue?

We unfortunately have no idea why that's happening...in our testing on XP, Epic works fine. 

We'll surely try to help debug & fix this though.

Are you running a firewall or any antivirus or other security software?  Does Epic freeze both with and without the proxy on?
