This isn't to my knowledge related to security but more to the privacy and recoverability of your data (via forensic analysis).
It's difficult to "remove" all browsing data on close of the browser on a computing device, primarily in three places: RAM, Hard Drive, and OS files especially pagefile.sys. There other programs which will delete un-written over memory/storage as well as delete or purge OS files. You need to use those to have the data from any files Epic deletes made truly un-recoverable.
This is a difficult problem to solve thoroughly so we haven't tried to tackle it yet, and there's the fundamental problem that Epic runs on an O.S. that we don't control.
