Pop up window each time Epic starts

Since the start of August 2020 I have been getting a pop-up window open every time I open the first Epicbrowser window on both my Win 10 and Win 7 PCs. The pop-up tab is titled "Adblock plus has been installed" and the contents say "Annoying ads will now be blocked". The address of the page is "chrome-extension://(gobbledegook redacted)/firstRun.html"

This in itself is somewhat annoying - each time I open a window i immediately need to delete the pop-up because it seems like the adblocker always thinks it's being run for the first time?

Is there any solution without deleting the adblocker and making the internet almost unuseable?

Please note - I have posted about this before but after the fault remaining for *eight months* my post has never been approved to show up in forums. Can we please get to the bottom of this fault now? Needlessly closing down pop up windows ~100 times a day for the last 8 months is driving me nuts.

Re: Pop up window each time Epic starts

Great, job.

I was working on other probable solutions and missed your post.

See below.

Jimmy,

Try these
1- Check to see if an updated version of Windows is available as you don't mention which you have.

2-You might  also uninstall the Adblock and reinstall. If it doesn't install disable "Ask where to save each file before downloading" under "Downloads".

3-Try this and pay particular attention to Alok's instruction.

Chromium no longer supports XP so the last few versions of Epic won't work on Windows XP...and the latest Epic probably won't work on Win7".
