#1 Epic Privacy Browser - Help & Troubleshooting » Skype Web Version no longer working » 2015-12-02 11:51:00

Hi,

A while ago Outlook.com started crashing as reported here and now the Web version of Skype stopped working saying that I need to update my browser for it to work.

I'm not saying that you're not actively trying to solve this, but using Epic is getting more frustrating each passing day. Due to the lack of updates and any kind of news from your end, waiting weeks for a response in the forum, and even more for fixing critical bugs, I'll be considering other alternatives.

Thanks and I hope there's a turn of events in future for the sake of both Epic creators and users.

#3 Epic Privacy Browser - Other Feature Requests & Ideas » Proxy Whitelist » 2015-03-02 16:29:34

Hello,

In my daily surf on the web I visit a few sites that do not work with proxy connections, forcing me to disable Epic proxy, and I end up not using the proxy at all because of that.
What I suggest is a Proxy Whitelist in order to specificy which sites I do not want the proxy to run. I noticed that Epicsearch has the Proxy always turned on, so I think it shouldn't be a completely new thing to develop.

Either way, just my two cents.

Keep up the good work!

#4 Re: Epic Privacy Browser - Help & Troubleshooting » Epic constantly showing the "Page is not responding" popup » 2015-02-26 10:52:13

Usually Epic Proxy is turned off because it causes problems with some sites I use. It would actually be really cool if I could specify a whitelist for the proxy.

Regards.

Hi,

Lately I've been having a lot of "Page is not responding" popups while using Epic. At first I thought it was due to a slow connection, but then I connected to different better networks and the problem persisted. I can do everything I need, but it's annoys me to have that popup constantly showing.
I'm using Epic 39.0.2171.99 on Windows 8.1.

Hello,

Sometimes when I'm viewing a Youtube video, there is a lot of audio static rendering it impossible to hear the real audio. I'm haven't yet figured out how to always cause this behaviour, but it annoys me very much when it happens.
I'm using Epic Version 39.0.2171.71 (290621) on Windows 8.1.

When I go to Epic options and click the option Relaunch Epic in Windows 8 mode, the browser is restarted with only one tab and the following in the url: "http://--force-immersive/"
If I have pinned tabs they all disappear.

I'm not sure if this option should be available or not, but if it should, it does not seem to work, and if it shouldn't, I don't see a reason to have it there in the first place.

I'm using Epic 39.0.2171.71 (290621) in Windows 8.1

#8 Epic Privacy Browser - Other Feature Requests & Ideas » Useful extensions - Session Buddy and Hover Zoom » 2014-12-15 19:28:20

Hi,

I used these two extensions in Chrome and find them extremely useful.
Hover Zoom
Session Buddy

Hover Zoom is very useful for a high number of pictures around the internet and saves me a lot of time.

Session Buddy is a great tool for me because I tend to have sessions of pages for later reading and need a way to temporarily store them, and using bookmarks does not seem a good fit. Since it's only permission request is to read the user's history, I think it would be a fine addition given that if I accidentally close a tab in Epic or the browser crashes, all my tabs are gone. I've using pinned tabs, but it's very limited, imo.

Each time I try to open a Google Doc, like a spreadsheet, just after the page loads it breaks to the "Aw Snap" page.
Any idea why this happens? Is it a bug or you're not supposed to use google docs on Epic?

Note: I'm using Epic's latest version (39.0.2171.71 (290621)) on Windows.

#10 Epic Privacy Browser - Other Feature Requests & Ideas » Ability to re-open recent closed tabs » 2014-12-11 12:15:21

Hello,

First of all, thank you very much for your work, I truly respect what you're doing. smile

I've been using Epic for about a month, and I really want to change it to my default browser, however, there are some features that I really can't live without. One of them is the ability to re-open recent closed tabs, like what you get in almost every browser by doing Ctrl+Shift+T / Cmd+Shift+T.

I imagine that since you don't save the history, there is no record that allows you to get those closed tabs. What I would suggest is that the last (say 10) most recent closed tabs, are temporarily saved, so that feature could work. And maybe, to ensure that whomever uses Epic has a clear choice on that, a new option in the settings allowing, or not, the ability to open recent closed tabs.
It's just my two cents, but I think it would be a great feature since I often accidentally close tabs and in Epic it's a bit of a pain to get them again.

Thanks!
