I've read from time to time that Epic Privacy Browser should be re-started occasionally to insure optimum performance. Can I get the same effect by clearing browser data without re-starting the browser?
Thank you.
Brought up Epic Privacy browser this morning and it opened with a proxy starting with 104. Opened a second window, same instance of Epic, and the proxy had changed to 199.217.118.201. The site I tried to open does not allow the use of 199.217.118.201 for some reason. Why does the browser change when opening a new window? The proxy starting with 104 is acceptable to the site I visit. Very frustrating. Is there a way to log into a specific proxy or is it always the 'luck of the draw'?
Thank you.
Since early this morning I have only been able to connect via 199.189.86.27. I have tried numerous time today and none of the other proxies are available to me. Usually I can sign off and back in and get another proxy. One of the sites I access will not allow 199.189.86.27 to connect.
What is happening with the other proxies?
Kind Regards,
Eris
Thank you for your prompt reply.

How do I turn it off?
Thanks.
Hi, is there a way to flush the DNS used by Epic Privacy Browser?
Thanks.

I made the change in Firefox to turn off WebRTC when the vulnerability was first announced. I then ran stayinvisible dot com and thought I was o.k. Then I ran ipleak dot net and it showed my IP Address as though I had not made a change.
I am currently searching for a VPN, at a reasonable price, that will not not leak my IP Address or browser information. Browser 'fingerprinting' is a major security problem too and will immediately shutdown an application if connection to the VPN is lost (disconnected).
Had a look at en.wikipedia dot org/wiki/SoftEther_VPN . SoftEther offers some hope for the casual VPN user. However it will not shut down an application if the connection to the VPN is 'lost'. Instead, it tries to re-connect to the VPN leaving you vulnerable while it tries, in my experience never succeeds, to re-connect to the VPN.
I hope all can sort through the
I have tested DNS leak of 199.217.118.201 (Saint Louis) using the following website, http://www.stayinvisible.com/ , and info about my browser is leaked. This problem is not unique to Epic Privacy Browser but also with other browsers that I use.
DNS leakage by the proxies used by Epic Privacy Browser needs to be addressed and fixed.
I use OpenDNS with Internet Explorer 9 and unique info about my browser is not leaked.
Hi eris,
Sorry for inconvenience. We actually assign a new IP when epic starts and maintains the same IP until you close epic.
Do you opened multiple windows ??
is this happened on a same session ??Thank You
Yes I do open multiple windows while I am using Epic browser. I check the proxy each time I am on because some IP addresses will, and some will not, allow access to some of the sites I visit. This morning I opened with IP address starting with 204, opened another window and the IP address had switched to IP address starting with 107.
Thank you.
While I am on a site using proxy starting with IP address 204, the proxy switches to IP starting with 208. I am kicked off the site saying that IP 208 address is not allowed. What gives? Why does the proxy change?
Thank you.
Thank you for the prompt reply. My faith is restored.
I too received the above message about proxy needed new permissions. I stopped using the proxy. Is it safe to use the proxy or not?
Thank you.
I had already tried what you suggested without any success. I uninstalled and re-installed Epic Privacy Browser and connected through a proxy immediately. All continued to be well today and evening.
Thanks.
Not able to connect with the proxy at all today. Can disable the proxy and connect to the internet without any problem. Did the earthquake disable the California proxy? Should I uninstall and re-install the browser? Please help.
