Some sites that use Cloudflares DDoS Protection don't seem to work with Epic Browser. When you load the page, you see the cloudflare DDoS protection page, then the page refreshes, then you see the cloudflare DDoS page again. This loops forever.
If you open developer tools you'll see the initial request to the page returns a server 503 with the page rendering a "please enable javascript and reload the page" message from cloudflare.
This is with a fresh install of the browser, and happens with all plugins disabled or enabled and turned off. Connected to the proxy/vpn or not. adblock turned on or not. I've made sure javascript is enabled too. Nothing works.
Someone else reported the same problem accessing a site here that also uses Cloudflare DDoS protection: https://forum.epicbrowser.com/viewtopic.php?id=58931
Even with everything disabled (proxy/vpn, adblock, etc.) it still doesn't load. What is Epic Browser doing that is interfering with the javsacript cloudflare wants to run if I have everything disabled?
The file chrome.dll modified 06 June 2020 in C:\Users\?????\AppData\Local\Epic Privacy Browser\Application\80.0.3990.90
is flagged as virus by Kaspersky.
Please stop adding epicupdate.exe to the 'HCCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run' registry key unless the user approves it. I make this key read only for security purposes.
Epic installer blows up with an assertion error if it can't write to that key.
I found my cause, I had made the 'HCCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run' registry key read only. Epic installer tries to put an epicupdate.exe in there and errors if it can't.
I get same error. 'ignore' crashes the installer.
Epic Update installation failed with error 0x80070005.
With a link to lookup the error:

try the latest install and let us know.
I have done a clean reinstall of my OS, and now have success with Version 38.0.2125.111 (290621). Thank you for your efforts.
Am I forgotten?
...will look into this issue.
How is the investigation going? Any progress?
I am strongly recommend you to not use offline installer, you may miss the major updates.
Hi, sathi.
I understand. I thought that a work-around for my live-install problem might be to download any programme version, then run an update...
I look forward to hearing about the results of your investigation.
Navigate to %localappdata%/Epic Privacy Browser/ Application and try to run epic.exe.
sathi, that folder is not present in my install.
Here are the folder trees from the installation and the executable files they contain:

Is there an off-line/full installer available?
Thank you for the response, sathi.
I did the following:
- Stopped the EpicUpdate.exe process.
- Deleted the Epic Privacy Browser folder from %LOCALAPPDATA%
- Deleted the Epic Privacy Browser folder from %APPDATA%
- Downloaded EpicSetup.exe from https://epicbrowser.com/
- Installed
- Result: No browser
- Applications installed:
EpicCrashHandler.exe
EpicUpdate.exe
EpicUpdateBroker.exe
EpicUpdateOnDemand.exe
Maybe there is there an off-line version of the installer I could use?
I have the same trouble today: "Installation Complete," but no browser, only EpicBrowserUpdate was installed.
This happened with both the Windows.exe and Windows.zip versions of the installer.
Is there a location from which I could download a "full" version?
Please make it portable. So we can carry it everywhere..
