Hi Epic Friends!
Why are Epic browser pages showing with a Chrome browser icon? Why cant we have our own identification browser icon? Is it because Epic runs on Chromium? But many 3rd party browsers do too, and none show the Google Chrome browser icon. Just makes me wonder about safety, security and privacy!!

Has anyone else seen this? Kind of worrisome. I dont put nothing past Google's tricks!
New Epic browser was a pleasant surprise. Its really cool, modern, up to date, and filled with great features. I LOVE IT! Thank you Alok and developers!!!!
Hi All,
Update following my last post....12/04/2024.
Turns out the problems with Epic P. Browser not showing in my list of Browsers, on my phone (Galaxy A53 5G, SM-A536W), was an Android 14 Update issue, with Google being well aware of the issue, among many! All fixed for some time now.
Also my Empty Cache App that showed that "Dont Allow" notice, was referring to Don't allow app to be moved to the SD Card. (The Cache App did both functions). So all is well on both issues I last posted.
Epic Privacy Browser is still available from the Play store, but not listed or shown under 'Browsers' search query. One has to type in the name, to bring it up. But I believe that it's better to download from here, as you never know what features Google may have crippled or disabled. They're sneaky as hell!
Thank you Alok for the suggestion.
Epic runs well for me and remains my default brower!!!!
Hello Epic Friends,
I have some weird problems.
In my list of installed Browsers, Epic is no longer listed and there is no app icon. This leaves me with DuckDuckGo Browser only! This is new behavior for my phone, (Galaxy A53 5G, SM-A536W) noted after the phone updated to Android 14. Also in my cache cleaner app, which goes to the App Settings, a large sign has been added to Epic browser, saying "Deny App". Then I cant browse at all, anywhere. This is my default Browser!!!!
First, whats going on? EPIC is still a thing right?
Please, what should I do. Update? This issue of Epic came from G.Play.
Many websites say this is not an updated recognized approved Browser
So dont want to rely on Play. There were so many negative changes and missing control features to Epic after they started releasing it.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Have you guys seen this? "Introducing DuckDuckGo App Tracking Protection for Android beta: The easiest way to block trackers lurking in your apps: FILED UNDER DUCKDUCKGO NEWS ON 18 NOV 2021" on www.spreadprivacy.com. Big explanations re privacy and how they came to be. Any good, or the same old Yahoo/Bing crap?
Hi All,
Thanks for this most awesome Privacy Browser! The best thing ever, and so badly needed.
I have a question about Epic Search Engine privacy. Tonight I was using Search, and noticed when I searched Images, the url was BING!! How in the world can Bing Search be private? This makes me quite nervous. I have IE browser installed of course, and Firefox, where I use DuckDuckGo search engine. I don't use IE, unless I have to download something that can only be obtained through that browser. I'm using Win 8.1.
Does Micro$oft put something on our computers to try and track us when using a privacy browser? On my Windows 7_x64 PC, they joined Epic Browser to IE , with output to my default browser, Firefox, via the Registry. I went to Reg Edit and found the links by accident. I deleted everything where the two browsers were joined, and deleted Firefox. Then they did it again using Opera, so I deleted it too. They gained access through the network. My win 7 was not registered with M$ at the time, though it is a legal OEM version.
Thanks in advance for any answers, and keep up with the good work on this incredible browser.
Elise
