You don't need to do uninstall and install, You can wait for few minutes and proxy shall be back. We are working on fixing this issue.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. Can you tell us what OS is yours, since you are saying you are upgrading, I'm assuming you are using Mac, because for Windows it auto-updates, correct me If I'm wrong.

You can disable "Block ads and Trackers" from umbrella button and see, if they work? Most of the images are blocked by the Epic Filter software.

Just disable "Block Third Party cookies" along with "Block Ads and Trackers".
once done set them back, so that you keep your sessions trackers free.

Please uninstall the old epic browser.
Once uninstalled navigate to %LOCALAPPDATA% in explorer and delete all Epic and Epic Privacy Browser folders then install latest browser.
That was an installer problem of our first releases.
Download the latest Epic Browser and install it. This should remove all the pinning problems.

If you are in Private LAN, you have to give your Gateway settings in "Change Proxy settings ", so that you will be connected to your network and then to internet. If you have a system / network admin, please contact them w.r.t. this issue.
In this case our proxy service would not work.

there is a checkbox "Disable Epic Proxy" just below the change proxy settings, did you uncheck it and try that?
Okay, this looks like securtiy and Privacy issue of Mac.
Can you do this, go to System Preferences->Security & Privacy->Privacy->Contacts
Then check Epic if it is not checked. Please let me know if this fixed this issue.
Ill see if we can remove this in our next update automatically.
