I cannot believe that the UK has actually passed this Bill.
Whilst I am not that naive to realize that the Government has been doing hacking and bulk data collection for years this Bill actually legitimizes it not to mention other aspects of this Bill including data retention, connection records, device IDs etc
There are some countries out there with some very suspect regimes who would love to have this sort of power.
As some people maybe aware and as it has been mentioned in the forums on numerous occasions closing and restarting Epic keeps things clean and the connection trouble free.
Whilst it is not a major issue to manually close and restart Epic would it be possible to have a Quick Shut/Restart Button that would perform the action with one click?
Just a thought
Got this error mesage up so decided to reinstall Ep[ic as it said on other posts But Epic will not install now at all?
When I try to install is gets to the Epic Installer connecting to Internet part and then the same error message comes up.
Any ideas? Epic has been working fine and thern it just stopped?

For the last couple of months the proxy has been excellent and stable but over the last week it has become very slow and non usable, any reason?
Is it possible that something could be done to have a feature that allows to switch from the USA to the Dutch proxy?
The Dutch proxy is good but the US proxy allows you access to more services :)
I do close and restart Epic but the proxy usually stays the same.
That command line is used in Firefox.
In the location bar type about:config and scroll down to media.peerconnection.enabled set the value to false.
Could you give us a brief idea what has been fixed/updated in the new version?
Also, has the webrtc issue been resolved?
Right click and the options come up to edit or delete.
I use the dial boxes on the homepage for different search engines, duckduckgo, anonymousengine, epic etc
This is old news about the Epic Update exe.
It is not difficult to disable it.
When you delete any program never trust the uninstaller to completely remove it, always do a thorough manual search yourself.
Thanks guys, keep up the good work
Hi,
Yes I am using the latest version.
Whilst I was browsing Epic was storing info in the places the above post mentioned, however, ALL the files were deleted after I closed Epic.
Use the Site Sathi posted using the Anonymousengine and see the difference.
Unfortunately this is the way things are.
Google is an omnipotent, nothing will stop it.
This problem has not happened for a while now.
Thanks for help and keep up the good work :)
Some of my friends use these 'throwaway e-mails' such as incognitomail
I don't trust any e-mail provider to be honest but here are a few decent ones
Countermail Free week trial
Always read the Privacy Policy, you will be surprised(or maybe not) on what information they actually do collect from you.
Hi,
When I click the dials it does take me to the entered urls so they do work in that respect
PS I do use Epicsearch most of the time but my wife likes Duckduckgo(have not converted her yet) :)
Any news on this?
The search boxes on the home page are still displaying previous web pages.
Re-installed and changed addresses in the boxes but to no avail.
I got a message as well.
It appeared in the top right corner and said that an application is trying to take control of your internet connection.
Hi, I tried that and it does not work.
As you can see in the duckduckgo box it now has an image of a previous website I visited and the ixquick box shows my homepage.
Also, after I switched my computer and internet off I went back online later to find my homepage displaying in the boxes the last visited website.
I have been closing epic properly.
